What is REEFocus?
The Mini Games are games designed for children with ADHD to practice cognitive skills including observation, learning, memory, self-control, and attention. These games have been tested and have produced positive results during the pilot study in a clinical setting conducted during the FocusLocus project.
Within the scope of ThinkUp!, the Mini Games will be developed, improved and adapted so that their functionality can be extended to the field of cognitive assessment to support the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders related to cognitive deficits as well as to respond to the cognitive practice needs of the entire preadolescent population.
What is REEFocus?
REEFocus is a disruptive and innovative intervention program that helps children manage and overcome ADHD symptoms. The REEFocus gamified intervention program is based on cognitive training methods for the acquisition of mental and motor skills, as well as behavior change, adopting the concept of asset management as the main tool of the game. REEFocus is designed to be highly personalized and adaptable to each child’s individual situation, symptoms, age and character. By introducing advanced performance analytics and remote monitoring functions, REEFocus actively engages all parties interested in the wellbeing ofchildren with ADHD (parents, clinicians and special educators), allowing them to make any necessary adjustments to the planned intervention program.
REEFocus will be further evaluated for its effectiveness in enhancing cognitive skills (observation, learning, memory, self-control, attention…) both in a sample population with ADHD and in the general population via a mobile application.
